Lyrics to Waters
Railroad tracks under a fading sun, a violet sky, a rising moon. A river dried by a life at war, a bridge stands and serves outlived, through and through. Long ago when this bridge was built, when summers reigned and winters stilled. This river flowed, then the waters stopped, a path was made and the stones exhaled. And then the people yelled, ?Tear down this bridge.? The waters crept until spring began. And that bridge came down brick by brick. Why do we nullify everything, we compromise our own safety in vanity.
